With the presence of God, any relationship is perfect despite of the imperfections.
Nobody or no one is perfect. We are created with special traits. Family, Environment and Society are factors that shaped the "who we are or what we are".
Change is inevitable. We do change for the better... change that would help the relationship grow fonder.
But then, i agree with you that "we should be contented to what we have". Be contented of the person whom we wanted to grown old with. Enjoy each day together despite of the differences.
